Compact little shrub to 30 cm diameter. The bluish-green, lanceolate leaves are 520 mm long. Bears heads of creamy-white flowers in spring and summer.
Tree to 15m tall. Bark rough to small branches, coarse and thick, fibrous or box-type, mottled grey and whitish or grey-brown. Adult leaves dull, blue-green or grey-green to glaucous. Inflorescences axillary 7-flowered; buds usually glaucous. Fruit sessile, cup-shaped or cylindrical, usually glaucous. Similar to Eucalyptus goniocalyx, which does not have glaucous fruits.
Flowers yellow. Fruit a capsule.
